  Lupe Berretta is a U.S. Army Veteran with over a decade of experience driving healthcare transformation across clinical, operational, and government settings. In previous roles, she advanced women’s health initiatives for more than 20 hospitals across Georgia, including standing up the inaugural Maternal Health Equity Task Force to address challenges to reproductive healthcare access. She also developed system-wide strategies to navigate rapidly changing women’s health legislation, track disparities in maternal health outcomes, and advocate for equitable access to care. Her leadership includes spearheading a maternal mortality and morbidity dashboard to propose data-driven interventions, coordinate provider education, and provide strategic community engagement opportunities. These initiatives have contributed to measurable improvements in healthcare quality and outcomes, significant cost savings, and multiple awards recognizing her impact.

Lupe holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Change Management, is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and holds a project management certification. She is pursuing her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) at GSU to strengthen her ability to bridge healthcare systems with the communities they serve. Her goal is to influence policy, design sustainable programs, and drive systemic change that improves women’s and maternal health outcomes. She also serves as Programs Chair for the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE), where she develops programming to elevate Latino leadership and advance equity in healthcare. Outside of her professional roles, Lupe enjoys traveling and creating meaningful experiences with her two sons.
